Have you fallen in love with your work out buddy? There is something so fun about capturing a couple in their every day. And, I can truly appreciate couples who enjoy working out together. My husband and I spend many hours at the Jiu Jitsu school together, and foam rollers and kettlebells are part of our home decor.
Hoboken is one of my all time favorite places to do engagement sessions, because it offers such a mixture of backgrounds in a very small space. It is also where I had my engagement photos taken. So it holds a special place in my heart for sure!
When a hopeless romantic meets a shy guy, together, they are fire! Working in this rustic industrial space was so much fun! Add a fur rug, kick off your shoes, light some candles, and it felt like home.
A bit of contrast to my usual obsession with nature! Some urban vibes for my street savvy friends! No doubt that exploring a city together, grabbing a bite to eat is as romantic as it gets.
But I can’t help myself!… I always find the beautiful green nature creeping into the city spaces! Trees, and plant life add a softness to the hard surfaces of city life.
Personally I am a summer girl, I like it hot and sunny. But I can’t deny there is something so lovely about the fall. Tea, blankets, cozy sweaters, and the colorful trees of course.
I met Rosario while walking around central park on another engagement shoot. She said she was just thinking to herself how she wanted to take some engagement photos, and she looked up, and saw me walking with my cameras. We hit it off and a few months later, met in the very same spot to take her engagement pictures with her fiancé Xavier.
Towards the end of the photo shoot, we heard some music, and walked in that direction. We met a nice man who was playing the violin, and Rosario and Xavier danced.
The sun was setting and the sea mist surrounded them, creating a heaven like glow. It felt as if they had the beach all to themselves.
These two love birds balance each other out perfectly, that is why Central Park was the best location for their shoot. They call New York City home, but love nature too. And they like to get all dressed up, and also hit the gym, and enjoy a bike ride in the sunshine.
There is something about natural light, and trees all around that just makes me feel all warm inside. As if Mother Nature herself is holding us close. Give me a camera and a willow tree, and I am in my happy place!
